I visited the Usenix Facesaver again.
The most exciting part of this trip might have been the tour of east L.A. All the lights, including traffic signals, were out due to a wind storm. And my friend's '74 Valiant had electrical problems, so the headlights weren't working very well either.
We ended up at an Uzbeki restaurant that had things on the menu like "Joseph Stalin's favorite sturgeon recipe."
Another highlight was the party in the Presidential Suite of the Anaheim Marriott, with a sweeping view of Anaheim, at which a dozen or so single-malt Scotch whiskies were available.
